The Havening Techniques are an extremely quick and effective method for treating PTSD, phobias, panic attacks, grief, and other intense emotional states brought about by traumatic and overwhelming events. Havening is a psycho-sensory modality that changes the way the brain stores information. The Havening Techniques are used both to heal distressing emotional states and to develop positive ones. They enable liberation from patterns caused by fear and aversion so that clients are more free to live the life they want.
The practitioner training familiarizes participants with how to use Havening Techniques to treat a wide range of issues. In this active training participants will learn:
- The science explaining how and why Havening works
- The components of trauma and how they are affected by Havening
- The ways in which Havening can cultivate resilience
- How to use the varied techniques of Havening
The training will include demonstrations and practice to become comfortable with these skills.
After completion of the training, participants can go on to become certified practitioners by meeting certain requirements including:
- Science review and ethics course
- Submission of 30 case studies and 2 videos
- Consultation with a mentor who will guide you through the certification process,
- Signature on Havening ethics and conduct policy
- Completion of details on your account including address and a biography for directory listing
- $99 application fee to Havening headquarters
Certification allows practitioners be able to put Havening certification on their promotional materials, be listed on the Havening website: www.Havening.org, and have access to numerous supplemental trainings and resources.

I did the Havening Training with Erika in Dec. of 2020. She did an amazing job! All the attributes that one would want in a teacher/mentor, she delivers in spades. Focused, attention to detail, making it fun, and keeping us all on task. I came out of the training feeling confident and ready to do my 30 case studies. While I was doing the case studies, she was right there encouraging and offering really helpful suggestions on how to be a better practitioner of Havening. The whole experience was empowering for me and I have to thank Erika for that . Awesome job Erika.

I wanted to let you know what a wonderful experience I had in the training, personally and professionally. Our staff were so impressed they cannot stop taking about it. I think we may end up having more of them getting certified. You’re obviously an excellent instructor. It’s not just your knowledge, but the delivery that impressed me. You were very patient and sensitive to our needs. I particularly liked your openness and willingness to listen. I found the training to be highly personally rewarding. This was one of the best trainings I’ve ever done.

The Havening Techniques 2 day training by the Center for Havening Research & Training, Inc was impressive and informative. Erika Neil was a great presenter and truly knowledgeable. I especially liked the hands on practicum which Erika and other practitioners helped facilitate as it allowed my agency professionals to be immersed with the experience. It is especially rare to find a training that can allow each participant to attain personal growth while learning. I highly recommend Erika’s training in Havening Techniques.
