EMDR, which stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, has been proven by research to be the one of the most effective treatments for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.  It also is now being documented as an effective solution to other conditions such as phobias, panic disorder, addictions, grief, and performance anxiety.  It reduces the distress a person feels in difficult situations, and it treats the effects of events big or small, acute or chronic, single or mulitple that have been traumatic over the course of life.

If you find yourself upset by particular stimuli or situations in your life, EMDR would be helpful to you. It is incorporated into the context of therapy sessions.  I have been certified in in EMDR and using it in my practice for over ten years.
